How to use Goccles?

Goccles is not a diagnostic tool because only histological examination can clinically identify a lesion like a tumor, but early detection of a cancerous lesion can save a life and it can be conducted using the autofluorescence technique and a tool such as Goccles.

  • Take the medical history of the patient, conduct an extra-oral and intra-oral examination with the naked eye, palpate the face and neck of the patient.
  • Repeat the intra-oral examination using Goccles and a curing light, fixing the eyewear using the lanyard and adjusting the stems of the frame.
  • If a suspicious area is detected, the appearance must be evaluated with both the naked eye and the Goccles, looking for possible causes through any relevant information from the patient. Repeat the examination after 15/20 days to evaluate the change to decide if a specialist examination is required for further investigation.
  • With the Goccles CLIP you use any smartphone camera to photograph the image of the cancerous lesion illuminated by the light of the curing light, you can share it with an oral specialist or ask for a medical opinion writing an email to clinicalaid@goccles.com.
